Our Story
Penn Holiday Lights started with a simple belief: every home deserves to feel the magic of the holiday season. Matt, our founder, grew up in Mount Joy surrounded by the charming towns and tight-knit communities of Central Pennsylvania. Every December, he'd spend hours helping his family string lights along their roofline, wrap the front yard trees, and create a display that made the whole neighborhood slow down and smile.
As an adult, Matt realized that most families wanted that same magic but didn't have the time, equipment, or expertise to create a professional-looking display. Weekends spent on ladders in freezing temperatures, tangled lights that wouldn't cooperate, bulbs burning out halfway through the season — the stress was taking the joy out of the holidays.
That's when Penn Holiday Lights was born. Matt assembled a team of skilled, safety-trained professionals who share his passion for the holidays and his dedication to quality craftsmanship. Today, we serve over 500 homes and businesses across six counties in Central Pennsylvania, from Lancaster to Reading, Harrisburg to York.
But we're still that same team at heart — a local business that treats every home like it's our own. We remember our customers' preferences, we suggest small upgrades each year, and we take genuine pride in making every installation perfect. Because for us, this isn't just a job. It's the best job in the world.
